Hi everyone,

Totally unrelated to weather, but thought it might be of interest.

See International Space Station at 17:33 tonight from the UK passing from W to SE around 50 degrees. Brightest star in sky, looks like a slow moving aircraft.

Three astronauts on board, amazing to think they are looking down on us, although they may have their feet up because Sunday is their day off!

Yes just been out in the garden and seen it.

Im sure there is a site that tells you where it's going to be and when.... not just the space station either. You can see all sorts of satellites buzzing about if you look up on a clear night.

Cute app on the Android platform - Satellite AR - ISS , Bright objects and space junk. Wether sats, Geostationaries, S&R, Iridium and CubeSats. just select one and it tels you where and when.

ISS next overhead in 15 hours
 
Missed the ISS but had a lovely time outside star spotting with the kids and google skymaps. A few years ago I visited the radar near Boston Mass used to track space debris, stunning bit of kit with a 5Mega Watt Transmitter.

The user interface could be better, but it's worth the effort.
