Second hand eberspachers

Hi,

There is a chap that often attends the Beaulieu boat jumble that sells re-conned Eberspacher heaters (taken off old Post Office vans and marinised I think).

Anyone know his name/number or can provide alternative source for used diesel cabin heaters?

Try a commercial truck breakers yard. U can save loadsamoney if U are prepared 2 do a bit of DIY !

I have called all the locals (Devon) and they are out of them and don't get them too often they say..

Tried them, and eventually spoke to a lovely lady called Margaret for about an hour.

Upshot is they offer the heater, pump and control unit for £275 with 3 month warranty. A stainless mount plate for £20, a skin fitting for the exhaust for £80 or £60 and exhaust piping for £25 per metre.

On top of this Ill need fuel pipe, a y connector to send the air in 2 directions and the ducting.

So the cost is around £400 plus.

They are up in North London and might try and visit them totwards the end of the month when I am next up there.

I know someone on here last time round, said don't pay fortunes for ducting, it's standard stuff from your builders merchants'. I've never fitted one but it might be worth checking out.

Looks to me like you can use pretty much any 60 mm heat proof stuff for the ducting. Thinking either copper pipe or stainless tumble dryer type ductwork.
