Hi all,
I have a Jabsco sea water pump installed under the water line and it is supposed to provide up to 3kg of water pressure. The thruhull size is 1" and there are 3 hose outputs connected to the pump. The hose running from the pump to the cockpit is about 8 metres long and the water pressure there is way lower than 3kg. How do I increase this pressure? I thought about either adding a second pump on the same line at the cockpit connection, or adding an accumulator, in which case do they exist for sea water? Can anyone help with this?
Thanks.

Increase the diameter of the outlet pipework to reduce friction loss, but that's about it. You are near to the limit at 8m, and could find problems as the pump ages due to cavitation in the pump head.

You have forgotten to tell us what is happening at the same time at the other outlets! What type of pump is installed and what flow to you require? Are you measuring the pressure under full flow conditions or with all valves closed.

By the way 3 KG is not a unit of pressure. How are you measuring the pressure and what is the gauge actually reading. ( PSI . Bar Etc etc)
