Seaward 35 or NordStar 31?

Seeing as you turned off notifications in your other thread I will post my recommendation here. I own a Starfisher 840 which runs a Yanmar engine on a shaft drive. She sits and cruises well at all speeds, for us (the wife) 12-14knts is perfect. The boat will max out at 24 with a clean bum. They are good solid boats with a more traditional feel. Not overly hard to maintain either. You could look at the slightly larger version which is the 10.60 I believe. Well worth a look !

Given your extremely rude final postings in the last thread - perhaps a better title would have been

“Being polite or being an arse - which will get me more help?”
It’s interesting to note that comments such as yours tend to only come from those who read what they think was written, rather than what was actually written. And if you think this observation is rude, then there’s no point in discussing further, ‘cause therein lies your problem....

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem possible to delete posts, so I’m switching off notifications for this thread - too much irrelevant subjectivity. Therefore no need for anyone else to respond.

I wonder if works on his own ?

Most successful team players I know and have come across tend to display certain characteristics , one example is being a good listener, but there are more I,am not picking up an any here .
Is it just me ?

Anyhow pick the boat on shafts with a Yanmar FWIW ? Suspect nought !

Being relatively new to the forum - 7 months or so - I have found that any posts or comments that I have put up have been replied to with useful info and good humour and intent.
Coriolanus, i suggest that you swallow a big dose of humility and accept that many of your posts come over as condescending and and often rude. Whether or not that is your intent, it is how they come across to the majority of the regular users. I hadn't followed your previous thread so i read it afresh and then your new one. I can see why you have generated ire.
People usually reflect how you are with them. People who in my experience have always been polite and helpful on here, have replied to you with blunt/rude posts.
Time to take a look in the mirror maybe?

I tend to take the same approach with both boats and cars. Get down to a shortlist of 2-3 preferred models then buy one based on condition - I'd rather have an exceptional "Model B" than a sketchy "Model A"
Totally agree - unless there is one ultra stand out boat, most do same job for many people!
