I have known SeaTeach for a good many years. I have always felt that they are 'our' chandlers.
The company is run by a group of partners. Speak to either Stewart or Jim, Jim is semi retired now but often makes an appearance. Both are extremely helpfull and will, I'm sure, want to sort out your problem.
I have a good idea who the grumpy old git is. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
So did I and I got a terrific reply:- [ QUOTE ]
"Dear Lemain, It was very kind of you to tell us about the thread on the YBW forum. Thanks to your email, we have been able to resolve the issues and tell the forum members how we value their business, and how concerned we are to learn about general dissatisfaction with our level of service. Sincere thanks to you".
Good post!. I have spoken of Grumpy Old Git here several times. Like others, I have had mixed experiences at Seateach over 15 years based in Emsworth, both at old shop and new.
On one occasion, I bought a depth sounder and fitted it to the boat, not a difficult job, but it just would not work. I returned it and the baldy guy grudgingly exchanged it, asking me, 'Did you fit it properly, NASA keep telling us they are in perfect order?'. I went straight to the boat and fitted the replacement which worked properly first time. I enjoyed telling baldy so!. On the other hand, the younger Scots chap is a paragon of assistance and advice who went to great lengths to help my DIY fitting of a furling gear. I wont go into detail about the new sail I ordered which they sent to a similarly named customer in the northwest of Scotland - I live in Sussex!.

Now my mast's back up, I can add myself as another happy Seateach customer. They were the second cheapest quote for standing rigging, and the only people to quote chromed bronze rigging screws. Stuart couldn't have been more helpful.
S3i were the cheapest, but not by much and with SS rigging screws. They didn't really give a quote, more a list of the bits that they thought would be needed.
Seateach price also included a couple of extras so the like for like would be very close, and they gave a fixed all-in price based on the info I'd provided. They also specified the makes of fittings they would use, which gives some assurance that its not just cheap because its shite.
I got quotes from Seateach, S3i, Ferry Marine (Port Edgar) and Ardfern Yacht Centre. I asked for quotes from some others who didn't bother to reply.
Oops, I've just noticed that one of the other quotes included bronze screws, but their quote was something like 50% higher than Seateach.
I would have loved to have dealt with a local company, but there aren't any and if the order has to go by post it may as well go to the other end of the country.
I am sorry about the misunderstanding about the cancellation of an Internet Order that you placed with us for a pair of Musto Trousers. I cannot blame anyone but myself as I answered the telephone call. It was wrong of me to suggest that there might be a handling charge. Your card was, therefore, credited in full, shortly afterwards.

Shame only you felt the need to turn your apology into an advert

Sorry but I know Seateach and I am pleased to see thgem answer and publicly apologise.
As to making an advert - considering that it is reasonably factual - then no harm done - expecially after all the crud that has been on here for years about additives / anchors / et all !
Something like this - the apology without the SPAM
