I have bought the cable by the meter and the crimp on cable connectors from JGTec. Has worked very well for me. Not ideal if you plan to remove/attach the cable on a regular basis.
It's a proprietary connector, so only a genuine one will do, i.e. from any Raymarine supplier. Or alternativelt push small female side of spade connectors on each pin, as suggested above.
You need to be aware that there is more than one type of seatalk connector and which you need will depend on the age of the instruments. Older systems used a round plug but the latest version is a flat thing.
It's the flat 3 pin on the ST60 range - well it isn't quite flat .... but you can just use the crimp-on cable connectors (the female part of the spades)
AFAIK the seatalk connectors come as pre-moulded plugs so you cannot connect your own cable within the plug so would need another join ....
The normal ST60 are flattish premoulded plugs and these come in various cable lengths for connecting instrument heads. However, if you want to connect, for example to an external GPS source you can use the small female crimped connectors. I did this successfully to connect the Autpilot to a Navman plotter.
The ST60 range uses the slightly curved connector which can be substituted by three 3mm female spade connectors. The round type of connector is used by the ST50 range of instruments.

Has anyone got a photo of the "slightly curved" type?
