I want to connect my P70 autopilot head unit to the X5 course computer. The manual says that the X5 can power the seatalk ng block of connectors - except mine resolutely won't. Is it just better to power the seatalk ng backbone from a separate power source using the red power cable? Or am I missing something fundamental here?
