Seasons out of phase?

Presently on this western outpost of the British Isles, the temperature is over 10 degrees and to go higher. The wind is light, however heavy cloud.

The chart for the weekend indicated that high pressure is nearby again.

Since the storm of a number of weeks ago, the weather has been reasonable settled, with high pressure most weekends. More settled weather than the months of July or August of this year.

These are the conditions that we should be getting in mid summer. Therefore have the seasons gone slightly out of phase?

Not really. It is not uncommon to get a mild spell in November/December. Most people call it an Indian Summer......

... but I thought India was supposed to be hot?

But the current spell of mild weather is not too unusual for the time of year. It would have just been a bit better had it happened three months ago!
