Has anyone who moved from sailing yachts to motor boats and noticed an improvement (or worsening I guess is quite possible) in relation to their motion sickness ?. I’m thinking of the differences between a mid 30ft yacht cruising at perhaps 4kts in a rolly sea and a similar motor boat cruising at say 15 a 20kts or so. Any personal experiences or thoughts ? Many thanks ……

I've been around planing motor boats most of my life and never suffered sea sickness, then I offered to help a mate sail his 34 foot ketch from Falmouth to Gibraltar and I have never felt so ill.

I found the difference in motion between a motor boat and sailing boat quite significant, the sailing boat caused awful sea sickness whereas the motorboats never do.
