Diphenhydramine is the primary constituent of dimenhydrinate and dictates the primary effect. The main difference is a lower potency due to being combined with Theophylline. 50 mg dimenhydrinate contains 27.2 mg of diphenhydramine.

Just pointing out that its available easily over here. Its good stuff too, if a little tiring. 1 pill and 2 beers and i could sleep through anything.

That's interesting. Theophylline is a CNS stimulant like caffeine and I assume it is included to combat the sedative effects of the antihistamine

I've always found that plain salted crisps are the best way to get rid of sickness!!
