I know I posted originally in Reader to Reader, but you have to bump daily to stay on the first page! The Varne Owners Association received a charming request from the home builder of a bilge keeled Weston, now swallowed the anchor asking if we had any knowledge of the current circumstances of the boat he built back in 1985. He sailed her from Woolverstone and she was last heard of in Felixstowe. The Weston was a "modernised" version of the Varne 27, though the designer disapproves of the increased windage to give headroom for those over 5'10". She is white hulled with a dark blue stripe along the gunwhale curving down to the base of the transom.
Has anyone seen her, is she still on the East Coast? We'd love to hear from the current owner (at Varne.co.uk) and to reassure the old boy that his pride and joy is still going strong or PM me if you have any information.
Many thanks,
Rob.
