Been off net for a couple of days. So thanks for all your input on searching and bronze/brass cleaning.
Have decided to leave the bronze treads a little sticky so as to avoid the possibility of going A over T on the way below.

Does that mean you've been sailing? There has been some great sea breezes here this week. In fact I'm relying on another and won't be around for your reply. The joys of retirement - a minute to get out the push bike, four minutes to cycle to the YC and call Jeff the launchman to see where he is, a fifteen minute ride in the launch (I'm on the last mooring!), five minutes to slip and then the big decision - shall it be port or starboard today; port out of the Blackwater over to the Colne or starboard up the Blackwater. Oh the difficulty of strategic decisions.....

By the way on the other post, have you told your insurance company that you single hand. After a few years I noticed that my policy forbade such a practice but a simple call got a permissive endorsement.

Sounds like a magical sailing moment. Unfortunately for me I had to spend one of the two days re-making sail battens, repairing my exhaust and re-rigging the mainsheet handling. The other day I spent sanding down the patio furniture, cutting.......... but I won't bore you with that.

Interesting issue concerning insurance. I will look into that.

Thanks
