searay 4.3 v6 mercrusier for sale

hi all i have a 19ft searay 4.3 v6 mercrusier inboard i tolk it out for the first time and used a lot of fuel
im thinking of selling it and buying a 16ft with a 85hp merc engine will there be a great difference between the fuel consumpion
i want to do some wakeboarding and fishing etc
before anyone says welcome to boating i dn't mind putting fuel in but i would like to use it not just keep topping up with petrol
thanks
ian

My 19ft boat with a Mercruiser 4.3 V6 EFI uses an average of about 1 litre per mile, so I use around 20-30 litres an hour at 20-30 mph. Of course flat out the consumption shoots up.

In comparison my 15ft with a 90hp engine on it used maybe just over half of that an hour on average, so you can expect pretty good savings if you downsize.

You will find though that a 16ft versus a 19ft boat has a lot less space on it and needs much flatter water to use it, so you will probably save even more money as you won't get the opportunity to use the boat as much.

hi thanks for that i just wanted to know if its worth down sizing or not
what about 18ft bowrider with 90hp outboard whats that going to be like or 19ft with 115hp
thanks
