Hi looking at this model of boat any one got any comments good or bad. They both have twin 5.7 but one is with stern drive the other vee drive. thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Dont know the 300 Sundancer but Searay have a good reputation for building quality boats. Not sure its wise though to buy such a large boat with twin petrols as the running costs will be astronomical. As for the difference between the sterndrive version and the V drive, the sterndrive version will be faster and more economical but some people (me included) think that sterndrive boats are harder to handle at slow speed especially when it's windy. The V drive version will handle like any other shaftdrive boat ie. more sedately both at slow and fast speeds and it will be slower (maybe 5 knots slower) and consume more fuel
FWIW, I'd buy the V drive version but I'd be looking for diesel engines even if the boat cost a bit more

Thanks for that, would love diesel but can not simply afford, strecthing to that size as possibly go smaller wiv diesel but would be too cramped. Know fuel will be crazy, but lack of space would drive me crazy once kids on board. will look at v drive seem a little more expensive but believe they are better if leaving it in salt water, thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
