OK I've now got the NASA AIS and new VHF aerial all set-up and working with my laptop (still struggling with getting it talking to the Garmin 292 Plotter for now - probably my dodgy wiring skills).

I'm considering updating from current version of SeaPro to the latest version which has AIS and Navtax support and been quoted 50 quid.

Has anybody used the SeaPro AIS feature and is it any good ?

Is there a better/Cheaper alternative ? (I've looked at ShipPlotter and the software with comes on on the NASA CD - SOBvMax and SeaClear; but was'nt particularly impressed and I don't need an additional peice of charting software).

Thanks in advance.

Andrew

Adding the NASA AIS to Seapro is realy fantastic, it makes a channel crossing a lot safer aslong as you remember some big ships may not have it turned on!
