Hi - new member - first post....
I've just started a restoration project on a Seamaster 925. Will post some pictures later - as I will likely have a bunch of questions and this may take a while.
Task list is fairly extensive at the moment (and not likely to get smaller)
Engine
Cabin floor (soft),
Headlining (water leaks)
All rigging & chain plates (safety)
Hull pass throughs (safety)
Some general work on the hull – maybe one or two repairs on the deck
New head and holding tank (if I can find somewhere to fit it
New electrics / Instruments etc
New paint / anti-foul etc
I would like to upgrade it with a windlass, furling jib and run the bulk of the lines to the cockpit (so probably 2 new winches on the coach roof) – and ideally convert the forward winches to self-tailing.
For now, my question relates to mast and boom. Mast looks pretty good but I would like to replace Sheaves etc. They were originally made by SS Spars in Northants - can anyone recommend where I can get some spare parts.
Boom is not looking too happy - but I'm thinking of replacing it anyway with a modern profile, so I can run reefing lines to the cockpit.
If anyone has experience of upgrading the boom like that, would appreciate any info.
Thanks in advance
