Hi, Can anyone suggest a suitable sealant for perspex windows onto GRP .There are lots to choose from at the big stores, but is it necessary to use a special type for use in a seawater environment?

Sikaflex is the most probable sealant and I am sure someone will be along shortly with the correct grade soon.

I changed mine this time last season but used a foam type self adhesive foam, I did introduce a stainless steel pressure bar system to better distribute the clamping forces and I also used polycarbonate. No leaks so far and very pleased with the overall result

It's worth using the right one. If you want it to serve as just a sealant you can use silicone. But if you want it to serve as an adhesive+sealant use sika 291, or 292 if you want a stronger bond. All depends on the exact job, there is no universal answer
