sealing a bolting detail under the waterline

I need to drill a bolting detail through my skeg to attach a new holding bracket for the bottom of the rudder. Once i have drilled this hole, how do i seal it? I presume i do need to seal it to stop water getting inside the outer layer?

what are you drilling into, wood, grp?

Sorry, I am drilling into grp. I think there is steel in behind the grp for strength. need to seal the bolt which will run right through and out the other side.

I have just fitted a new anode bolt and the yard sealed it with Sikaflex 291. With washers inside and out, the seal should be fine.
