hi i own a sealine s25 which has been leaking water up through the carpets this only happens when we stay overnight in her any advice on this problem ie seacocks etc?
Is it the carpet under the table or on the Galley floor. Is the underside of the matress wet in near the forward end of the bed - in which case check your shower sump.
I have had lots of times when the float in the shower sump box has come loose.
this has resulted in waste water not being pumped out, though it sounds like the pump is running it isnt exiting the boat. the box gets filled and "overflows" into the bilge....
not sure if this is your problem but it may help....
Something else you probably do when on board is to wash your boat down. Try just not doing this for a couple of occasions. It might be a leak through a window seal at a different position than nomally attacked by rain....just a wild guess really!!
We had a problem on our S34 , water under carpet , the problem was the fridge was defrosting at night , and running under units etc , £35 for domestic /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif appliance guy to sort.
I've read before someone who had the exact same problem as you... Read on...
Turns out that there was a tiny leak on the joint on the taps of the sink in the toilet. What would happen is the water would drip down the sink (on the inside), flow under the toilet/shower floor and end up soaking into the carpet
Ended up getting the joint fixed and viola, no more problems. Sorry I can't be specific on what parts were needed, it's all I can remember
From owning an S23 access doesn't look to hard. If your boat is like mine (which I presume they were all built the same) then it's just a matter of cutting the mastik to loosen the sink
Good luck and let me know how you get on - I like to compile troubleshooting notes incase any of this stuff ever happens me (fingers crossed)
fridges on S34 on deck and in galley ( 2no ) , if the floor on a S23 is the standard moulded shower base how can the water get over the theshold to the carpet , interesting , sorting such
problems out. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I wish I could answer your question but I have no intention of ripping the floor of my S23 to find out /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Just a thought (we had this one on our S23), have you been using the shower on board. If so did you pull the shower curtain across. The bathroom door doesnt stop water going into the galley area.

The shower curtain on our S37 (new) was made of a lovely silky material which in fact was not waterproof and allowed the door to be soaked, and in consequence the carpet outside got wet. Replaced by a B&Q plastic one and problem solved.
My first thought was also the fridge, what we found is the small water collection tray under the icebox gets full of water when it defrosts and the rocking motion of us just moving about can lead to the water spilling out into the bottom of the fridge and running down the carpet. in this case as the fridge is in the cockpit thats unlikely.
If it was anything to do with the shower pump surely the water would be in the bilge (assuming the shower pump is under the cabin floor).
As someone else has said, if there is a leak in the pressurised fresh water system then you would hear the water pump priming itself at regular intervals. Hopefully any such leak will be at a joint or connection and easier to find than if it was in the hose. Another possibility is the leak may be in the sink drain hose or fitting in which case the water pump wouldn't prime itself but this should be easy to find by lifting the sink out.

The last owners of ours did exactly the same. They kept the original one and put it in a cupboard for if we wanted to change it back. It comes in handy having previous owners on the pontoon next door.
ty all so much for your answers as for as being from the sink or shower i feel this is unlikely the water seems to only come in when a few people stay in her overnight ie weight at front of boat i have also made sure the internal tanks were empty last time we stayed on board to try and rule this out.
