Sealine T51 Advice

Hi Jason

Dont get too despondant.
Remember what I said - they WANT you - it just seems that they dont know it at the moment.

Unlike others on this forum, I've seen the photos that they've sent you.
I say - hold your ground - that boat is loaded with problems and should only be bought at the correct price (and thats the price YOU determine and not them.)
If there REALLY IS someone else interested - let them have it (and all the problems that you were goint to have).
Keep your cool and reitterate YOUR TERMS - if they dont like it WALK - this has got to be the best advice.

By the way
Had a great weekend out on Jennywren with Jez and a few other forumites - everyone agrees that a used T51 is a great value boat - loads of boat for your money.

So to recap - take control of the situation and tell them YOUR TERMS and walk if they dont like it - I think that they will come back and accept your offer.
After all - its a genuine offer with reasonable terms.

Mike

Hi Mike
Thanks for that its very hard though when as you know so much is riding on this.
I hope to hear from them today so fingers crossed.
Glad you got out on her again, when are you having her lifted and have you thought anymore about a larger boat ??

Regards

Jason and Janice

No doubt the Sealine is a fine boat. But for liveaboards over here generally the trawler style motoryachts are preferred. Brand names such as Alaskan, DeFever, Grand Banks, Hatteras, Offshore, etc.

I have to say, I was mighty impressed with the T51 at the weekend. Very comfortable boat, and the second cabin is a perfect size - quite a unique island berth arrangement and very very comfy.

Must say, did like the driving indoors bit on Sunday, bit like a well funished living room with an ever changing view - quite nice to bumble along at 20knts in january wearing a T-Shirt. Might have to rethink this whole sport cruiser thing after all.

Thanks once again for a good trip Mike, having spent a day down there today, perhaps my time estimate on bunging the dash on was alittle optimistic /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Jez,

That is why you need a Hard Top. No need for Patio windows but a hardtop makes a big difference...especially with Babies and young kids. Swmbo and the kids stay warm, no faffing with covers and you can wear a T shirt whenever you want!

Cheers

Jez spent a while on adrianb's boat on Sunday morning so I dont think his comment was serious on flybridges.
We were rafted against adrianb's new hard top.
Fabulous boat and fast - maybe RogerRat has some photos of her?

Pisssssst fred (Oldgit) we may have a convert to flybridge here, all our arguing about the benefits of having that second "inside" helm in nasty weather is getting through. Long live flys

Maybe so Kelly but if we are chartering people like fast sleek looking boats over a trawler its more desirable.
Space wise I agree a trawler may be better and possibly more stable however the T51 has excellent sea keeping abilities and has had good write ups by owners and organisations.
We did look at a cat but to be honest the ones we liked are out of our budget so back to the T51 (previous Sealine Flagship) /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
