I have to admit i'm not the biggest fan of this boat, due to the awkward styling and non-loungey lounge seating, although I do like most other Sealines. I noticed in the advert in MBY that they've turned the radar arch round to a more conventional aft facing design, presumably for the 2009 model. It's still not the prettiest boat on the water, but IMO does at least make it look a bit more in proportion.
 
Ah, but is this the same mag that dropped through my letter box last night, that shows the Princess P50 on the cover then lists it as a P60 in the Index!!!!??? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yes, but I somehow doubt even they managed to accidently photoshop the double page picture of the T50 to show the radar arch reversed /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
I think it'll take a lot more than re-angling the radar arch to sell this boat. The curved seating in the saloon wastes a huge amount of space and most other boats in this range manage 2 saloon seating areas. Then the galley should be much more hidden on this class of boat. The flybridge feels small and it's stupid to put the sunpad next to the helm where it's shaded by the bimini. They should tell that Focker Man at Fault to redesign the whole bloody thing
The new Princess 50 does it so much better, it's a bit embarassing for Sealine IMHO
 
Just had a look at the floor plan on the sealine website as I ahve never looked round one of these (bit out of my league you see).

WTF is that seating all about??? It looks like the saloon from a 35ft sports boat has sort of been dropped onto the deck of a flybridge. I cat see how you are going to get more than 3 round there for dinner and you could never plounge in it.

The Squadron 47 from about 1995 managed three cabin, and nice saloon and two heads in a boat the same length but in a better llooking package
 
To be fair to Sealine, they're in a difficult position when it comes to bigger boats. They know they can't produce clones of Fairlines/Princesses because they don't have the same elevated brand image. So they are forced to do something different to attract buyers. In the case of the T50, that something different is something worse IMHO and that's a pity because I've got a bit of a soft spot for them, having owned 3 of their boats
 
Personally, I dont like the T50 or the T60.
As a previous (and very satisfied) Sealine owner, they seemd to have gone wrong after the old faithfull T51/T52 model.
IMO the styling of the old T51/T52 was way ahead of its time.
I know I'll get shot down here but I really think the styling of the old T51/52 is very similar to the new Squaddie 55 - which I'm sure will be a great success even though its about 5 years too late.

yep I agree, tough I presonally like on picture the new SC35 and 47 from the outside, on practicallity not that much
my gambling on new Squad 55, will be how it will compare to sales with the Azimuts, Ferretti, Princess, Seeker of the same size, I think the boat will lead sales for British buyer abroad in the med
but the game away from the UK shows is very difficult
 
I hired a T50 for 4 days last summer in the med, I thought the boat was great. Flybridge arrangement works well with a few on board. Its a shame they have reversed the radar arch as it was good at keeping the sun of the helmsman & co.
