sealine shore support.

hi folks,

my neighbour has a sealine 310 92 ish, sunday the batteries were flat, on looking for a charger we came across a 'shore support unit' dont really know what it is? is it some sort of transformer/charger/split charge relay? anyways there is power going in but nothin comin out? oh and nothing works. any advice muchly appreciated. cheers.

Was he the chap on the phone this morning ? he is going away to check it with a good battery.

His service batteries are dead flat, if so the shore support will not kick in, or at least it should not. Original design spec by Tom from 1984, that if the owner had dead flat batteries there was a problem, and should be sorted first.

If the switch panel is fitted with the 3 battery mimic LED display, it has a multi-stage mains battery charger linked to the split charging system. Programme priority charging all three battery banks when on mains charge

If it has a digital voltmeter and bar-graph ammeter, it is shore support, 13.6 volt to the service bank only. This was a cost saving by Tom, to bring the Sealine spec inline with Princess.
