Sealine SC29 - too big

We had a Beneteau Antares 760 and moved to an SC29 four years ago, for the reason you describe ie the sliding roof.
I think I'm right in saying the SC29 was the first of this type of design and that there are no smaller alternatives around. It's nearest competitor is the Jeanneau Leader 9, very similar in size, but more expensive on the second hand market as they are a bit newer.

The Grandezza is a nice looking boat but you don't get the full length sliding roof. More a glorified sunroof really.

any good?

27 feet, sliding hard top and diesel...

SC 29 is a great useable boat. i remember sitting in ours when the rain came in, we slid the roof over and sat with a beer watching all the others try and get their covers up before the lunch got wet....

+1

I was so impressed with it and the slightly bigger one at the London boat show, build quality was very good, My next upgrade will be to a boat with a hard top/soft top and those two boat most definitely fill the tick box. The SC29 is very nice too and would consider one of those too.
