Sealine sc 47

A radical rethink of the tired old bubble boat theme.
Simple uncluttered lines.
Remember the fuss when the new Sierra was introduced,the lovers of the old hat safe and unadventurous olde designs that had prevailed before ,lamented long and loud,but progress will win out.All cars around today owe something to Fords preparedness to take a risk and it transformed the way cars looked.
Not under any circumstances a fan of the Sealine "collapsed souffle" previous efforts,but they sold boats and good luck with this effort.
If the other big brit builders want to remain in their time capsule,it is probably what their section of the market demands along with chandeliers and lamps with tassles around the lampshade. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Go for it Sealine and more strength to your elbow for taking chances.
 
I know ive said it before but i wouldnt have even considered a Sealine before, I know they where great boats for the money but I couldnt live with the looks or the caravan (1970's) interiors. These new ones are fantastic. Mind you cant afford them now so might have got it all wrong.

Well we really like the SC35 and especially the SC38, so I would imagine we'll like the 47 too.

I like the edgy Wallyesque design, makes them distinctive and roomy. It will be interesting to see how the flybridge versions look; I was told at SIBS that the F35 is in design on an unchanged SC35 hull moulding.
 
As I rule I like the SC series from Sealine - externally at least. I think the styling is bold and we have another Ford Focus on our hands. Every said it was ugly but soon it went on to out sell everything else and now others have followed the style.

What I didnt like in the SC35 was the interior. Size was wonderful, but there was too much white plastic and the dark oak wood looked nothing like wood. The fabrics were odd and while the cockpit was huge 90% of the seating was side on - it reminded me of a layland sherper van with bench seats. In any kind of sea that will be most uncomfortable for your crew/passengers. Great helm, loads of space, innovative looks but let down by the finish inside and the cockpit layout IMHO.

Looking forward to seeing the F35 and the SC47 in the flesh mind...
