Wondering if anyone knows if its possible to put a jet ski on the back of a Sealine S34?
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks

I would suggest that if you have davits fitted and you could lift it on these - then maybe OK. However, regarding Davits, no idea the weight of a Jet Ski, but would suggest that most of the davits we see fitted to the back end of most motor boats might not be "man enough" for this!!

Otherwise, my recollection of the bathing platform on an S34 is that it's pretty narrow and therefore I would suggest it would be quite difficult to get a Jet Ski up on this and securely lash it down.

I wait to stand corrected by others /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I reckon you could get a 2 stroke, stand up type jet ski on, and it could just about handle the weight. The lightest sit down jet skis are old 2 stroke jobs, but still over 200 kgs which I think is too heavy for a S34, as you'll also need a crane which will be quite heavy.

Not practical to have that weight on davits on an S34 IMO, you'd need to bolt chocks to the bathing platform, which can overhang the transom, and fit a crane to lift the ski.

I think it's possible, but not necessarily a great idea

I've seen a top-end SeaDoo on the back of a Sealine T50, but I think any kind of jetski on the back of an S34 is going to be way too heavy.

I'm talking about this type, which are lighter and smaller than the sit down type

I delivered an S34 many years ago with a stand up ski on the back, the owner always regretted it as it was an absolute b***er to launch and recover as it was right at the limit of the davits weight limit, and with only KAD32 made a big hole in performance, may be better if you have the bigger emgines, but in reality not a great idea!!

To heavy and will destroy the boats handling and take so much longer to get up on the plane .
You bathing platform to narrow and davits will struggle to lift and as someone said the chocks/cradle will overhang the transom.
What you need is a bigger boat.

As an S34 owner.........No Way! Its simply not designed to take the weight. Would be more or less impossible to launch. Play havoc with the trim of the boat. Distort / crack the GRP around the bathing platform area etc etc etc

Thanks for all you replies, a bit of wishful thinking on my part by the looks of it judging by replies.

Anyone else got any ideas of something i could have a bit of fun on?

Small rib with nice outoard??

Thanks again

I'd go for something like a Quicksilver Ultra Light 250 with an 8hp outboard on.

some details here. Download the catalogue for piccies.
