I'm a smelly old fisherman and run a Merry Fisher 695.
It's a slow old pig, but it will plod through absolutely anything and I often make it do just that.

However, I'd prefer something more along the lines of a Maritimo 48....
...I can dream.

But, you are right.
The boat we own or our friends are recommending us to own is without doubt the best possible boat ever to have been launched and woebetide anyone who disagrees with us!

I am very proud of the fact that even if the rest of my statements have been a pile of tosh that two, at least, have proved useful, valuable or at the very least, entertaining!!!!

sometimes a lot can be said in one profound sentence.......:)

My biggest influence (life lessons) was an old guy I used to boat with years ago, if he wanted to instil a point to me, it was via a calmly told story, or a profound sentence. One of natures true gentlemen.........
 
It depends alot on what you want to do. We found we liked to cruise, and the 22 ft American cuddy was not up to it. Moved up to an older P33. Which cruised most of Ireland and Scotland. from Wales. But the accomadation was not spectacular.. Moved on to my P 35 eleven years ago. Does what it says on the tin, would not want anything bigger. It cruises for a hundred miles or more., I would not want to go further.

Answering another thread, we can accomadate twenty folk easy, though not all night, but who needs them. As the SL seems to be the same boat as 23. I'd look at stuff bigger.

It's actually much easier to drive a bigger boat than a small one. But bigger boats dont have the zooomy about feeling,
 
Depends what he plans on doing with the boat and on budget.

We constantly look at bigger boats, but always come back to our own and think well we couldnt do this/that with the bigger boat.

We are more than happy with our S23, it isnt huge but by the same token it doesnt skint us to run it either.
