Sealine fuel valves

My old Sealine had a panel with 5 valves. There was a fuel shut off valve plus the fuel return valve for each tank/engine. In addition there was a valve for joining the two tanks together, therefore you could shut the return off for one tank and divert fuel to the other tank. Thinking about it, my old Fairline had a similar setup. I only used the feature once but I seem to recall that I was surprised at how quickly the fuel would fill the other tank when diverted.

well under the saloon step ther are all the valves the middle at the top seemed it was the one to do it so I turned it left it over night and the level did come up but slow ,but enough for the webo to work and keep swimbo happy so thanks for replies ,it was so cold on the boat as the wind seems to blow right through it

The fuel pump is just 50 yards from you you tight git.

That kind of complexity would give me ulcers. God knows what it would do to Roy. :D

It’s not complex - when you can see the pipes you can figure it.
But the diagram helps in a hurry or when the soundproofing covers the pipes.

Take a look at a nordhavn. On a decent sized one with 6 fuel tanks and 4 engines as I recall you can feed any engine from any tank return any engine from any tank and pump any tank to any tank via a polisher. It has a whole load of valves for sure I can’t remeber how many!

Hi,
on my fathers 365 one of the fuel filler got properly stuck closed. the only way to fill both tanks was to fill one tank and operate the fuel valves to have the engines both draw from the full tank and return to the empty tank until it was full. When we came up with this idea i thought it was going to take an eternity but the fuel is circulated at an alarming rate and it was very quick.
unfortunately there is no balance pipe on the 365 and the fuel valves are not in a neat group with a lovely diagram like in the pictures above. My friend does have this on an F43 and it is so much easier to manage.
