A friend has just purchased this boat and is trying to work out where to keep his outboard and tender.
He is also trying to find out the expected consumption for the Twin 185hp volvos. Any help would be appreciated

Hi
Can't really help with the fuel consumption as my F34 has 210hp D4's.
As to the tender, only two real choices: either keep it deflated in the underfloor lazarette (a bit of an epic manhandling it out and then inflating it ) or get some davits fitted and keep the tender inflated on the bathing platform.
Neither ideal, it really depends on how often you're likely to use it.
The outboard should stow in the engine compartment. Any reasonable fitter should be able to rig attachments points on the Stbd side. Engine then stows on its side.
It's a great boat, but not too much room for the extra goodies!

My problem with davits on my old Sealine 34 was as follows:

1. Right way up. Fills up with water. I was worried that the weight would damage the davits. It was also a pain to get the water out when we launched it. And, yes we did have a cover.

2. Upside down. Try getting it right way up when launched!

3. Unless it was roped really tight up against the davits, it would swing all over the place.

4. It blocked my view over the stern, and I had to raise the fitted stern light so that it could be seen over the tender.

5. Mount vertically on the bathing platform, so long as there's rooom for SWMBO to get on and off.

I appreciate that probably none of the above helps much, but I do understand the problem!

Trick is to make sure the dinghy has a solid transom with a bung in it. Then when on davits leave bung out and dinghy down at the back end slightly. Then any water simply runs out.

I keep my tender rolled up and use an LVM type very fast inflator which has it up in 2 mins. Not sure of the F34 layout but on my S37 there is a large empty space to the left of the slidy door, the outboard (in a bag) and the tender live there.

On my S34, which I think aft is not too different from the F....
we stowed the outboard in the Engine bay, as mentioned by Howard...... and I had a set of Snap Davits on the stern so we just clipped on and hoicked it vertically.... and we had a 3m Bombard, so if he has something a bit more reasonable, say 2.6 meters, then no problem.... when we deflated the dingy for longer storage, I rolled it up and it fit into the forward anchor locker.
