Sealine F33

Hello esteemed forumites, I have a chum with a big bag of cash who fancies a Sealine F33 for £80k. It's for pottering around the south coast and nipping over to the Ile de Blanc, Jersey and France. As I know zilch about Sealines, what can I suggest he looks out for? Thanks.

I seem to remember forum member Elessar being less than complementary about their sea keeping ability recently having been out on one and I doubt it’s ‘badge snobbery’ as he owns a larger Sealine.

I'm a fan of outdrives in the right application, but for the budget and with a flybridge in mind, the f36 would be a much better buy.

Not many F33's for sale at the moment.
Which is remarkable as probably the most popular ever Sealine model if the previous but identical 330 Statesman is included.

I have known my F33 lean into a side wind on occasions but corrected that with trim .

The advantage of outdrive configuration in the F33 is far better engine bay access compared to the shaft drive F36. Out drives and engines seem fine if they are serviced regularly .

We had an F33 on the Thames. Lovely boat.........for the river. However, we took it to the South Coast, and frankly it rolled a lot, so much so, SWMBO demanded we either went back to the Thames or change it. It was only a year old, so we swapped it for an S37. The F36/37‘s are much better sea boats.

Thanks. He's flip flopping so I've left him to it while his SWMBO chooses one on looks alone.

Could get a nice Princess 360 for that sort of money. Solid stable and good sea boat.Easy to handle in confined spaces.
