Sealine F33 versus Beneteau Antares 10.80

Blimey what a fantastic response.............very many thanks for all the advice. I'm just off to India with work for a couple of days, so will have a really good read, and think about whats been written

I currently only mess about with ribs/dayboats, but used to be involved with much bigger boats in a previous life.

I am sure I will have lots more questions shortly. Once again thanks for such extensive and sensible replies

Mark

And cause a nasty case of chest slippage

Yer noticed that with swmbo!;)

which in turn alters the centre of gravity

It's gravity She is blaming it on!

It's a vicious circle...

Didn't notice a vicious circle when I mentioned the chest slippage to swmbo
I was more like a vicious left hook/handbagging:eek::D

Hi Mark,

Yep, the pub meet usually happens once a month. Slight snag at the moment is a couple of the organisers have moved away from the area but there is still a good number who pitch up. Not sure there will be one this month as SIBS is on so its likely most of us will meet up there but there will almost certainly be a get together in October.

The Rodman 1120:

These have a superb reputation for sea keeping and are regarded as being pretty solid. Similar to the Benny but that little bit bigger. I am guessing your budget, but I found one in Ireland (not that far from Wales :)) which is on for under £100k and could probably be bought for close to £90k if that fits.

Lots of good things, shafts again and a hull which is probably a bit better than the Beneteau Antares to boot. A little rarer, but I reckon a decent option.

(no connection to me, just looking for pictures and a bit of detail and thought it worth mentioning)

Excellent sea boats with a very soft riding hull for what they are.
I took the bigger sister (1250) out to Madeira and felt safe all the time with waves (not swell, Waves) up to 6m.
Build quality was very good, but as with everything, they need to be maintained. This one leaked like a sieve through every window, but it handled the sea very well.

Went out on the 1250 with the big engine option when it was on demo at SIBS a while ago absolutely stunned, put all the white carpeted so called sports boat luxobarges to shame in acceleration, manoeuvrability and stability.Corse it was on nice sensible reliable simple cheap to maintain shafts.
My dream boat.....if only it came with a single 100hp engine.:)
