Sealine 320 Fly

Hi all

I am hopefully off to do a sea trail on a Sealine 320 we have recently seen, just wondering if there are any buyers guides or any particular aspect to be wary of with this boat? We know to check the structure for cracks and water ingress ect but just wandering what else to look for?

Also what are people’s experience with them? So far she seems to be well built, a bit old at 1994 but seems to be well looked after.

I have the later but not too dissimilar F33 and like it.
Not many boats would tempt me to change .

If its anything like my old 305 Statesman, then make sure its got a bowthruster because flybridge boats + outdrives are not a happy combination in a tight windy marina. Otherwise they're a lot of boat for the money in terms of volume

Probably , but that may not be loaded up with fuel and water and beer etc

Many years ago we had a 310 Statesman (the 320 forerunner) on the Thames. Great boat, just two years old when we bought it. I cannot say anything about it's sea manners, but I'm sure it will be OK.

Thank you for your replies. I’ll get in that forum! She doesn’t have a bow thruster but hopefully we can make it work or add one later on if needed..

Our 305 used to porpoise at certain speeds in flat calm conditions. Not dangerous but a bit disconcerting all the same

The two front windscreen windows can be prone to leak so would be worth checking along with the other windows.

Will you be based on the Dart? I think I have seen your old boat on the river in previous years.

Worth spending a few minutes doing a websearch for comments on the handling of smaller boats with flybridges on outdrives
Worth getting somebody to check the condition of the outdrives and also pay extremely close attention to the fact is has had regular yearly check ups.
No history and caveat emptor.

The close quarter handling is supposed to be challenging and a bit tippy in tight turns with only 24ft of the boat actually in the water ,in a MoBo boat test the magazine seriously recommended a bow thruster to make life lot easier.
Add 3k or so, the boat has to be lifted to do the job.
