I really don't understand how the 1 hour lift and wash can work.

One Hour Lift, Clean, Relaunch — Sealift3

Every single year that I have owned a boat it has come out filthy regardless of where it was kept, yet the power wash always shows large amounts of clean antifoul coming off with/from under the fouling.

If I use this Sealift service at a cost of around £250 the irony is that they have blasted off antifoul that has stopped working ... leaving NO antifoul at all!

What am I missing? Has anyone used this 1 hour wash? Is it only suitable for hard antifouls?

Not knocking the company, just don't understand the principle

I have used it several times over the past years, usually for a mid season scrub. Initially I used Micron antifouling, but for the last two years I have used Seajet 033, both of which are self eroding, and have had no problems. If you have loose of flaky antifouling it will probably come off, but this would be the same with any high power jet washer.

Thanks Richard, so I guess that even though the power wash removes antifoul it leaves enough to be effective? We always put two coats on

In my experience of pressure washing most operatives have the machine set to deliver maximum pressure whereas most of the commercial plant can be adjusted to suit the target. The only downside is that the job takes longer and the operator needs to know what they are doing in setting up.

What? Antifoul or power washing?
Just the whole mid-season scrub thing, and for the price they charge for antifouling, you can have the boat lifted and blocked off for a few days and do it all properly.
