Some of you will be aware that we purchased a new Broom back in Oct 14,

I used the Sealift 2 today for the first time, very impressed, nice lads , popped in for a power wash and an anode change, good job I did as some anodes were nearly gone.

After 8 months the Copper Coat looked to be doing its job, there was nothing but a 1mm layer of thin slime which washed off in a few mins and we were re launched in under an hour

Probably too early to tell re Copper Coat but so far so good, and will re use Sealift

I've found copper coat good so far, berthed in Haslar. I've used sealift a couple of times, slime washes off easily and relaunched in an our. I booked a three pack of lifts in a year for just over £400 for 10m boat, which seemed reasonable. There are no strap marks with sealift either, so you leave with completely clean bum with just a lift and hold.

Paul,

I've been seriously thinking about Copper Coating my Broom this coming winter. I think your post has finally tipped the balance in favour of having it done.

Did Brooms do it before delivery or was it done by someone on the south coast?

Do they still do a Coppercoat discount at sealift?

Hi Wavey

Yes it was done by Broom at the factory, am delighted with it

Thanks Paul. Need to find someone in the Solent area to do mine but will start a new thread at some point.

Where do you moor? Just curious as your anodes were nearly gone after 8 months. We've just been lifted to get a few jobs done and our anodes are only 50% wasted after 14 months.

I didn't mean will sealift apply it - it would be a daft thing for them to apply - but the used to have a lift out discount for boats that have Coppercoat. I wondered if they still did.

I know they don't apply coppercoat, I was just making suggestion that Osmotech do (they applied on my boat).

Discount for coppercoat would be nice, the slime does wash off easily. Means they can spend more time cleaning prop.
