Anyone know if fire cement is waterproof or if sikaflex is heat proof enough to seal teh thru deck fitting ?

hi i have used sikaflex 225 with no problems for higher temp use CLEAR silecon,coloured has lower temp range,graeme

Fire cement is not flexible in any way so not a good choice of sealer for your coachroof.
Silaflex do make a heat resistant silicone but you might want to check to what temperatures they say it can be used.
Not sure as to flue temps on a boat heater.
Just checked- Sika 15LM seems to be the kiddy.

he has been told on his other post on the PBO thread that most plumbing suppliers sell heat resisting silicone
