Sealant for freshwater tank?

I intend removing the screwed down top from our fiberglass water tank for cleaning.

Is there a special sealant I should use when refitting it that ideally wont leave a taste or leach anything nasty into the drinking water?

Go to an aquarium supplier as they have non-toxic silicone sealant for fish tanks. Just got a tube for son's fish tank.

B&Qand all the others will sell sealants for domestic potable water use, or if it is a flange seal some neoprene gasket material should be OK
