Whilst rowing back down river to the Ahoy Centre at Deptford we cam across a seal just off Convoys. Are they going up much further than that?
It's nice to know it's clean enough for them.

I'm new be gentle with me...

We get them up as far as Teddington occasionally ....

There is a big fat seal that lives in the dock by Billingsgate , the fish traders feed it and it never leaves , it's as round as a barrel.

If you park in the back car park , you can see him as you walk in.

St Neots, Great Ouse.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

These creatures can penetrate far inland. Quite a few years ago I was cruising on the Great Ouse and there were two seals at St Neots who defied capture and return to the sea. They were devastating the fish stocks in the area to the horror of the fishermen. Eventually, I am led to belive they were shot to preserve the balance of life in the river.

Regards.

Alan.
