Dear All,
information please, does the above boat take to the ground happily as in a swinging drying out mooring, been on the seal web site not much info.i am mainly thinking of the lifting mech been jammed up,
also any comments good or bad re these boats.
thanks

The lifting keel on the seal 22 has a ballast bulb which stays underneath the boat. The keel mechanism is therefore unlikely to get jammed up by mud and gravel being forced up the slot. Watch out that the rudder doesn't lift off the pintles when she dries out, though.

Cheers! Neil

We have two Seal 22's in our Club - one dries out upright quite happily on soft mud; the other dries out on a harder shingle bottom and leans over to one side due to the stub of the keel as explained in other posts. Hope this helps.
