seago life raft

my seago 4 man valice liferaft is shortly due for service. however as i have now changed boat it would be desireable to have the raft mounted on the pushpit, does anyone know of a service agent (preferably NW based) who would transfere raft into a cannister? i also intend to post this question direct to seago themselves. any peep's out there with experience of this

I almost had a Plastimo valise raft repacked into a canister (but decided to buy new instead). The service agent said it would be no problem. I suspect you just have to ask, and spring a few more beer vouchers loose.

I had my valise liferaft serviced by Norwest in Liverpool last year. he said he would try and put it in a canister but, when I returned to collect, he said he couldnt because of safety issues i.e. if he put it in a canister, when it was a valise raft, and it didnt work when needed, he could be one of those in the firing line.

I think it needs sanctioning by the manufacturer.
