Has anyone managed to make a warranty claim for a Seaflo product ?

In March of this year I had a brand new toilet installed along with a SEAFLO electric conversion.
In September it failed - less than 6 months old and very little use , the shaft that spins the macerator sheared off
On the box it states 1 year warranty but to date SEAFLO.com ( business@seaflo.com ) haven't responded
enquiries@seaflo-uk.com from the SEAFLO website ( www.seaflo-uk.com/contact-us-2-w.asp ) responded to say that they were no longer agents .

Has anyone managed to contact SEAFLO and obtained any help with a warranty claim, if so please can you let me have contact details ?

The good news is that I walked into the local Force4 and bought a replacement pump off the shelf and it was up and running in 1/2 hour so they are readily available.

My plan is to get the original repaired or replaced as a carry on board spare seeing as they only appear to last a few months .

If you purchase a product the retailer should deal with the warranty claim , not the manufacturer (except in exceptional circumstances where the .manufacturer specifically states that they deal with warranties direct with the consumer).

I bought an aftermarket macerator pump (not Seaflo) and it lasted just beyond the two year warranty.
Sometimes you get what you pay for.

I removed the awful Jabsco electric conversion and fitted a manual pump. A great improvement.

Had the same problem with a Seaflow electric toilet conversion. I purchased the whole toilet on ebay and around 7/8 months after installation it started clogging up. When I pulled the pump off the threaded end of the motor shaft which the macerator blade attaches to had broken off. I went back to the ebay retailer with pictures and they said there was no warranty for "Man made Damage" I am not clear how they interpret the macerator shaft sheering off after that short a period on a boat that only goes out max once a week as man made damage, but I am obviously not the only person to have this problem.

My only Seaflo experience is I'm running a 51 series domestic water pump which so far is quiet and pumps very well (and comes with a 2 year warranty) unlike the Jabsco Parmax HD which was new in July, sounded it had laryngitis, didn't pump that well and failed by December. (and has only a 1 year warranty). And the Jabsco was near 4x the price.

Perhaps not the greatest Seaflo testimony yet but I was pointed to the fact that new Jabsco pumps are made in China where the old Parmax 4 (non HD) from 3 years ago was made in Mexico, so it would appear it's now China vs China.
