Has anyone put or seen one of these in a tender garage?
After another weekend of breakdowns, the Avon seajet is finished.
Cant justify the price of a new or newish Williams and don't fancy further unreliability of a older one, so thinking of giving a 90hp 3up Spark Trixx a go. I know a normal rib with a outboard is the same sort of money, but this looks a better laugh.
With my garage on the T64, the tender runs on nylon rails and has a pull out frame that the tender pivots on to drop into the water. My only concern with the Spark is the handle bars are further forward and possibly a bit higher than the AVON rib, so may hit the roof of the garage when the tender pivots on the frame whist coming out.

looks like the handle bars might adjust... may be useful for you

If you have had jet skis before you may be disappointed, but I guess it depend on what you expect of it. It most definitely isn’t a three seater and two large adults make for an interesting ride. Quite spirited performance but rubbish in the air as they have a tendency to land nose down. Made of plastic and forget trying to get to the mechanicles , you have to split the boat to do so and the two halves rely on self tappers and rubber gasket to bond together. I sold mine with 13 hrs on the clock and the new owner had problems with the shaft seal/ thrust bearing which I hear has been a problem though as mine was one of the first this may be sorted now.
Undeniably good value though for gentle work and great fun for beginners, as a tender not in my opinion.

Hi
We have a Yamaha gp1300r in the garage on our targa 47 - so would fit in yours- very quick ski - defiantly no more than 2up though - but found to be very reliable - I highly would recommend.

Ive measured up, and it appears to fit in the garage easily.
So I’ve gone ahead and bought one and get it Wednesday
I understand it’s not a tender in the traditional sense, but we don’t tend to use a tender to ferry people around, instead more as a toy whist at anchor.
Thanks for the advice.
Will report on how I get on.
Anyone want a very unreliable Avon seajet 320?

Good call :)

We bought the Spark a couple of weeks ago as a bit of fun. Doesn't fit in the garage of the Gobbi but at least I know it will when i buy my next next boat!

Great fun.
