Any ideas where I can source a bronze seacock/strainer for use with 3/4inch raw water hose? It must be sized to support the 3/4 inch flow throughout.
The sort of thing I want has the cock at the bottom, and a removable top to access the filter. Like the Stuart Turner item (for those that remember it) but larger. Thanks.

Doug, I think I have the same sea-cock fitted on my old Luke 5-tonner (1949).
My local chandler www.duncanyacht.co.uk stocks them in 3 lengths, can't remember the price he quoted but it wasn't expensive.
He did say that it would be easy to make myself.
The ones he has were a sheet of perforated plastic sheet rolled into a tube. At each end it had a thick rubber washer so that the sea water had a chance to enter into the inside of the tube. Then it "leaked" through the perforations and exited through the outlet branch up the space between the outside of the tube and the metal wall.
Hope that helps. Give him a ring, he certainly recognised the item when I described it.
I have NO commercial connection with the company exceopt as a satisfied customer.
