Have just fitted a new D1.30 Volvo Penta into myColvic Watson 23ft motor sailor. The engine and vetus water lock are below the water line. After running the engine twice, on each occasion sea water entered the engine, so fitted a new water intake with a longer loop extending above the water line. This resolved the initial problem but am concerned that this may not be the permanent answer.
What would be the best solution.
