Leaving at 6 so probably be there before you, not that I'm buying!

I hope your feeling guilty over this purchase as you must have bought this near 35% off the asking price and as we all know from posts of late this is just"an insult" so breakfast is def on you.

Anyway good luck for tomorrow Shaun - The guys will know doubt prefer smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast for breakfast washed down with a nice bottle of Vintage Cristal as a minimum wot with being Princess / Fairline owners he he

Well what a day left home 6pm last night train into birmingham got us their 12 mins late then train from birmingham to bristol was 10 mins late so i arrived in bristol 22 mins late and yep i missed my train to weymouth.

So its 9pm and i am stuck in bristol so went to information desk explained what had happened and chap said no problem go to platform 13 get on the 9.30 to portsmouth then get off at westbury and report to desk

So i did this and as soon as i stepped of the train at westbury a gaurd came over and asked are you shawn going to weymouth so i replied yes. Ok follow me sir he took me through a short cut at the station to the exit where a taxi was waiting for me put my bags in the taxi and wisked me off to weymouth all paid for by the train company. Well i got dropped right outside the marina gates and although it was their fault i missed the train i could not fault their speed and helpfullness in rectifying the situation so top marks to the train company in the end.

Any way got a phone call off volvopaul at 7.30 to say he was at the marina gates so got up and let him in, then took him for a HUGE full english at weatherspoons which neither of us could eat all of it. Then it was off to the p40 to have a look before the skipper arrived at 9.30 for the sea trial paul checked a few things out then the skipper arrived and we headed off out on the 10am bridge.

We did the sea trial then we went over to portland marina to empty the holding tank as it was full and the pump out didnt work on the boat, all went well so we returned to the marina on the 12 noon bridge and back on the berth. Paul then did loads more checks whilst i headed off to get a new macerator pump on my return paul fitted the new pump and finished off the checks he was doing fitted some new engine anodes and gave the boat the thumbs up Shift+R improves the quality of this image. Shift+A improves the quality of all images on this page.

I then met the broker and signed a few bits of paper work and i am now the proud owner of a very nice phantom 40 which is where i am sat now typing this

Massive thankyou to paul for being so thorough all i need to do now is transfer all my stuff of my old boat ready to hand it over on sunday

Also a big thanks to a couple of other forumites for their input especially JFM for his help thanks john

All i need to do now is top the fuel tanks up ready for winter and enjoy her

Sorry no pics but will upload a couple i took whilst waiting for the bridge once i get home

Just eating my tea, there is a strange tinge to my fingers tonight!

Targa 43.

Bid more than 35% less than the original asking price so going to hide under the stairs in case that volvoengineer starts ranting again. :)
Sorry, very slight thread drift there..
