"Sea trial" on the river

Take it down The Tideway,it'll be nicely warmed up by the time you get there.
Desborough Cut.....someone more savvy than me will have to post up the Fairline pic from a few years back, might focus the mind of Sneds as to where he wants to open the boat up once his deposit is banked :)

That incident was actually not in the cut but the river proper.

Had it been in the cut he would not have had to negotiate the bend and would have saved the bother of parking in the field.

Right pair of rebels on that boat .....

You need to go past the Barrier now before you can do more than 12knts!

It took some grunt to get it back in the water due to its location.

From memory not a huge amount of damage apart from the owners pride. Could have been far more serious and I believe there were a couple of hospital admissions.

As for any sort of prosecution I am not sure, I often see the boat on the Thames so it's still being used with the same name.

Allegedly drink had been taken ...

Drink usually is .

I remember someone we both know being stopped by the legendary ' Sit Pax ' at the bottom of the regatta course at Henley having just traversed it at 40+ knots.

Drink was involved then.

Don't fancy ending up in a field!
Talking to engineer about mechanical survey and the guys at TBS have pointed me in the direction of a BSS surveyor
Might keep her on the river for a few months as would love the opportunity to travel through London, past the Houses of Parliament etc and out the other side under the QE bridge.
Once we bring the boat back to Bristol will probably never get the chance to do that again.

God luck with the surveys and the buying process in general.
Dont be put off if faults are found, by the surveyor or engineer ,that can be easily fixed. It may simply be a matter of negotiating a suitable price reduction.
