Any last-minute advice for tomorrow, when (for vast sums) I leap fully togged into a swimming pool and try to crawl into a liferaft that will probably start upside down?

Enjoy it. When I did the course, some years ago, I remember it as the most fun of any sailing related training I have ever dome.

If you are wearing an inflated lifejacket with crutch straps, hold them down if you are jumping from any height, otherwise you will know how the camel felt when the bricks came together.

When bringing the liferaft back upright again make sure that you are standing on the gas bottle, otherwise the headache is a splitter.

Oh and don't drink the yellow water.

have fun,

Best advice - get to see your liferaft when it is being serviced so you know where everything is in your own raft. Going to have another look at mine on monday, and take some photos for edification of casual visitors to boat!
