Just a comment on good service; yesterday afternoon about 5pm I ordered a drop-nose pin from Sea-Screw; when I remarked that I needed it urgently the chap on the phone quickly hand wrote my details so as to catch the post - I got it this morning.

The price was very good too !

Hard to improve on that...

No connection etc.

I've used them in the past. They've always kept to their word. Good service and good advise. I prefer to use them than retailers closer to me. Its not always about cost.....

+2.
A couple of months ago I ordered various bits and pieces (nuts and bolts, screws, drill bits) from Sea Screw and asked them to send the package to a pal who was coming out here on holiday. The carriage cost was reasonable, and the package turned up a day or 2 after I submitted the order. I was happily impressed.

Compare this to an order I submitted to Lewmar last summer when I was in England. Ordered 2 little plastic blocks for the dogs on a Lewmar hatch to lock in to.
The blocks cost about GBP 6 each (that is fine), but I was charged GBP 10 postage to send them a few miles down the road to Port Solent.
And although I had specifically asked if they had them in stock, as I would be leaving in a week, it turned out that they didn't have them in stock, didn't tell me, and sent off the package a week after I had left.
No worries, they caught up with me eventually! :)

I have used them twice and had excellent service.

Only problem is when they were the last legitimate transaction on my credit card prior to fraud, when saying it was legitimate, I am sure the guy at the card company was thinking Sea Screw was a porno subscription.

Another +1 for Sea-Screw!

I've used them twice now and been very happy with the service both times.

First time was for a load of cable and assorted bits n bobs. They phoned me straight away to say they didn't have that much in stock and it would be a couple of days before they could ship it. Sure enough it was exactly that, all arrived well packaged and exactly as ordered. It was a lot of cable so I can understand them not having enough in stock.

Second was for a load of SS self tappers, one of their sets along with some other bit's n bobs. Arrived next day no problems! Brilliant!

Happy customer! :)

Not all customers are as satisfied as those above. I ordered an anchor swivel on their website at 08.45 on the 23rd. I paid extra for next day delivery. In fact it was not posted until late on the 24th which is when it should have been deleiverd. It was delivered by Fed-Ex at 07.30 today 25th, ie within 14 of collection. Top marks to Fed-Ex but none out of ten for SeaScrew.com
