sea ray 240 wind screen shattered

On the way back from cowes on wednesday i managed to shatter my wind screen the part which is the door that gives access to the bow of the boat. Any one know where i can get a replacement window in glass like the old one was.

I had to get Two side screens for a 290 Sundancer a few years ago and I had to go to marina marbella as they were the searay importers and although I tried the manufacturer of the screen and us dealers none would supply except via the autorised channel iirc it was about £1600 for the curved section and the flat side section
You could get a replacement clear laminated glass at any plant glazing supplier or possibly get an acrylic in a similar tint from an acrylic supplier
I think you may struggle to get the correct tint in toughened from anyone but searay

Sounds pricey so alternatives might be worth a check.

Polycarbonate (the better version of plexi as used for eg. car headlamps) is plenty available in various thicknesses, Tint might be an isuue, though.

Some of the bigger car glass companies or a specialist like http://www.expresstoughening.com might be able to help

They sell tonnes of searay ex factory stock. I've bought loads of bits from them and the service has always been excellent

Thanks for the info . The search continues but being the Christmas hols i am not getting much luck with company's being open.
