Can anyone help? I have a Sea-Fire manual/automatic fire extinguisher system on my Fairline Phantom 46. Whilst moored in Yarmouth today I had the generator (in the Laz) running and accidentally pulled the electrical connection to the laz extinguisher. The gen automatically shutdown and set off an alarm on the helm position. The system flashes red (discharged, which of course it has not) and will not let me restart the generator. I re-connected the connection, shut everything down and when I turned it back on the alarm still sounds and the red light on the Sea-Fire panel is still illumintated. I have put it into manual override but would like to know how to reset it, if possible. Hope this makes sense.

The override switch by-passes the presuure switch on my boat. So, have you checked:

1) The pressure inicator gauge and pressure switch?
2) Loose electrical connections?
3) Remove/weigh the cylinder? For instance an FD200M min=3.4kg max=3.9kg
4) Checked the 5 amp in-line fuse?

Checked my manual and the above is all I could find!

Best of luck /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
