I know this thread is already kicking around somewhere, but I have to say what a great article the Scuttlebutt cruise to Cherbourg made, and well done to Twister Ken for a good write-up.
As an old-time computer-based Multi-user Role Playing Game freak, I'm well aware of the fascinating effect of meeting people across the internet, and an article like that is just what's needed to get more people involved, and dispel the myth that it's a slightly sad or scary thing to do...
I don't post very much on Scuttlebutt (bit more over on Classic Boat) but I read the posts often, and look forward to another one - it will be a good way to make a start to channel crossings in the old girl. So when's the next one?
