You may recall THIS POST by Twister_Ken after last year's trip.

Basically, due to the chaos we created in eating arrangements, TK immediately booked the Yacht Club for 17th September this year.

To redeem myself, in July I will be asking Kim to set up a specific forum for the usual crew dating agency, food arrangements, debates over the weather etc.

I am assuming we will exceed the 85 people, on 19 boats, which we had last year, with a combination of old and new faces.

I have actually organised a piss up in a brewery just to stop people telling me I can't! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

BTW, I have been talking to TK, and SWMBO drove to meet him today to return the liferaft we borrowed over a year ago! He is alive and well, but working exceedingly hard on his second million, and setting up their holiday/retirement home en France.

Nice to hear TK is alive and well. I for one miss his wit and repartee hereabouts.

Hope his french pad is close to Cherbourg, then we can all go and visit !

I think a bit of chaos adds to the fun.The blisters on my feet are almost better now , The one meal I have ever had in the Yacht club was very good so I would give a thumbs up to that one./forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well I'm definately "up for it" .
I was actually wondering if we'd got final confirmation from the yacht club 'cause
if you remember he did say...

This booking is not 100% firm as the restaurant is still waiting its own yacht club's calendar of events for next year which must take priority.

Has anyone heard??

Never mind the tides I need all the water I can get in Christchurch.. But any way Allegretto and her motly mob will be there for sure..
Cheers Have a great year... Bob E...

I should be up for it this year, as I now have a boat, last year would have been a little difficult (without a boat)

I expect we'll be there again but will prob go to St Vaast first with Cutter and others this year, not waiting for tail-end Charlies this time! Reckon the sailing club is a much better venue.
